A Child Finding one’s way

It can seem hurtful for parents when their child goes a different way in life or believes differently than the parents.

In some ways, I greatly admire my son for striking out on his own to do and find out what he wants to be.

Consider the difference between two different types of parenting:

One parent is continually “training a child into the right way”

The other parent continually helps the child find his own way.

Although I imagine there are many parenting styles, for the sake of this article I’m only going to focus on these two styles.
